Best Tex Gardens was founded by Gay Bonorden Gray, who began landscaping in 2000. After a long career as an intellectual property litigator focused on patent law, Gay decided to do her part in making the world a more beautiful place. She left a secure in-house role at a Fortune 500 company and returned to school to pursue horticulture.
Since starting her landscaping business, Gay’s designs have been featured in several Sunset magazines and books (available at retailers like Barnes & Noble and Home Depot) and have appeared multiple times on HGTV. She also filmed two episodes for HGTV’s Landscape Smart—and had a lot of fun doing it.
Several years ago, Travis Gray joined the team after a long career in the high-tech industry. Today, Gay and Travis work together with their family to serve homeowners throughout the Lake Travis area.
